International Sustainability & Carbon Certification
Global demand for biofuels is increasing, but we need to protect our natural ecosystem and biodiversity. Certification by TUV NORD attests to the sustainable production of biofuels for vehicles and other applications, as required by EU legislation. Certified companies can continue to market biomass and its end products as biofuels in the EU and benefit from competitive advantages under the Renewable Energy Sources Act and the Energy Tax Act.
Recognized by the Federal Agency for Agriculture and Food (BLE), TUV NORD certifies on the basis of the EU requirements of the ISCC DE, ISCC EU and REDcert certification systems. As part of the audit, compliance with the rules of the respective certification system with regard to the production, transportation, storage and processing of biomass is checked at intervals of no more than twelve months.
